Portland Bay School
ARCHITECT: KNEELER DESIGN
Three separate single level lightweight buildings, framed predominantly with structural steel and timber members to create large clear spanning raked ceilings, all supported on suspended reinforced concrete slabs. Steel screw piles set out on a gridded system were adopted to minimise footing excavation depths and negate the impact of pre-existing uncontrolled fill and the underlying highly reactive soils.
Our work has included projects for many universities, secondary schools (both private and government), primary schools and early learning centres.
