OPS Engineers are a professional, design focused structural and civil engineering consultancy practice, providing quality advice and expertise to all of our clients.

OPS Engineers specialise in innovative and intelligent engineering design solutions that support the architects design intent and respects the client’s goals. We utilise our significant experience to ensure the most appropriate, cost-effective and project specific solutions are applied to every project to ensure a high-quality, elegant and sustainable build.

We pride ourselves on our skilled, responsive, and creative engineering advice and ability to follow through with accurate, efficient, quality design and documentation on all of our projects.

Our approach to projects is unlike other practices in that we understand the importance of architectural detailing and like to work closely with the architect throughout the course of the project to ensure our solutions are complimentary to the architectural vision. We strive to ensure the most viable structural and civil systems are applied, which not only support but enhance the architectural design. Through a collaborative approach we like to offer unique, experienced advice to best suit each individual project and its design needs. We provide a sense of security to our clients with our approach to consulting, and our in-house design team are always available to offer prompt and sound advice.

MEET OUR TEAM

ALAN O’DRISCOLL

Director / Partner

Alan is the director and owner of OPS Engineers. He graduated from Cork Institute of Technology in Ireland with an Honours Degree in Structural Engineering. He began his career as a structural engineer in Ireland before moving to Melbourne and joining the company as a design engineer in 2009, becoming a director and partner of the practice in 2016. Alan is a Chartered Professional Engineer with significant experience in the design, documentation and detailing of large and complex community, commercial, educational and residential buildings. He is dedicated to providing high quality, professional and accurate advice and service. His thoughtful, well-considered solutions greatly assist and benefit the architect’s aesthetic and design intent.

THE TEAM

At OPS Engineers our team includes a balanced mix of highly experienced in-house professional engineers and drafts people. The directors remain actively involved in projects throughout the entire design and documentation process and are readily accessible to our clients. We have a strong client and project focus, built around team empowerment.

We encourage continuous professional growth and ongoing learning for our individuals through various means including seminars, in-house talks and collaborative discussions, as well as partaking in many team building exercises and corporate sports events. We utilise each person’s individual strengths and skills to ensure an enthusiastic and highly focused team is assigned to each project.
